My photography begins with an interest in how we experience space.
Before I moved into architectural and interior work, I spent years photographing landscapes — learning to read light, to wait and to find the frame within a scene rather than impose one on it. That background shapes how I approach every building and interior I photograph now.
I'm drawn to the relationships between things: between structure and light, between a material and its surroundings, between the intention behind a design and the atmosphere it creates. Each of those relationships is different in every space and finding the way to make them visible in a photograph is what keeps the work interesting.
I work with architects, interior designers and builders who take what they do seriously. The collaboration matters to me — understanding what a project is trying to achieve changes the way I photograph it. My aim is always to produce images that feel like an honest representation of the work: not heightened or stylised but clear and considered. I'm based in Auckland and available for projects throughout New Zealand.

How I work
Every project moves through three stages. Before the shoot, we talk about the project, the spaces and what you want the images to achieve. I plan around the best light conditions for the building and the brief — sometimes that means an early morning, sometimes late afternoon, sometimes returning at twilight.
On the day I work methodically and unhurriedly, moving through the space with the brief in mind. I handle all adjustments and light management as we go.
After the shoot, the images are carefully culled, colour corrected and edited to a consistent standard. This process typically takes as long as the shoot itself. Final images are delivered as high-resolution files within 7–10 working days, ready for immediate use across your portfolio, website and press.
